The Allegany/Garrett Community Foundation is
a non-for-profit organization that manages
funds contributed by members of the
community, and makes annual grants to
charities and non-profit organizations
serving Allegany and Garrett Counties.
The Foundation provides flexibility for
donors to meet their charitable interests
and needs, including:

instances

About the funds in the Community Foundation
Funds are the building blocks of the
Foundation. The Allegany/Garrett Community
Foundation is a collection of separate
funds, each with its own donors and
charitable purposes. The Funds are similar
to individual Foundations, with the
exception that administration, investment
management, program support, and trustee
oversight are shared, significantly reducing
costs.
The Allegany/Garrett Community Foundation is
an initiative of the
Tri-County Council of
Western Maryland.
